Dr Landers qualified as a Radiation Oncologist in 1989. He worked as a registrar at Addington Hospital in Durban and entered independent private practice in 1993. He remained on as a part time consultant and lecturer at the University of Natal until 2001

In 2008 he, together with Dr Rory Callaghan, purchased the house at 535 Peter Mokaba Road and organised the refurbishment that has resulted in The Oncology Centre

Dr Landers is a leading participant in research and is active in several clinical trials. This ensures that his patients have access to the latest drug treatment with the associated benefits and frequently at a lower cost.

Chemotherapy and trial work is carried out in his rooms at The Oncology Centre by a team of dedicated oncology trained sisters

Dr Landers has an associate oncologist in his practice – Dr Jo-ann James. The two doctors ensure that 24 hour service is offered to patients of The Oncology Centre
